What Is It?
Zephyr Drone Simulator's NIST Open Lane Scenarios are designed to help familiarize pilots with the NIST UAS Test Lanes, to use as a tool to help develop manipulative proficiency and to be used as concurrent refresher training.
Drone Responders and Mitre have teamed up to use Zephyr Drone Simulator as a training and testing platform for pilots.
APSA and BPERP
The Airborne Public Safety Association (APSA) has also developed an APSA-NIST Basic Proficiency Evaluation for Remote Pilot (BPERP) Certificate in accordance with the NIST Open Lane Test Methods for Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems. Zephyr offers a BPERP training scenario and Virtual Certification option, too.
